There where fireworks today on our nation's birthday. The Boxers for Christ
National Championship in San Diego, CA was host to over 120 of the country's
finest athletes. D. Ellis vs T. VU fighting out of old school boxing club in San Diego
met at 145lbs 13-14 yr old division final. This fight had very competitive back and
fourth fury; however Ellis scored the harder and cleaner shots which gave him the
unanimous decision and is now crowned national champion. His next fight will be
in Phoenix , AZ at Stone Boxing's DESERT SHOWDOWN this Saturday the 12th,
2008 in an anticipated rematch with M. Moreno out of Paradise Boxing.

What does a fight fan almost fantasize most about? Is it that the family
and neighbors getting together and firing up the grill and having a
couple of cold ones? Is it the $70.00 pay per view that we have to
PAY to view on demand The Potential fight of the Decade De la Hoya
vs Mayweather JR. OR The possible Flop of the century!? I HOPE that
people realize that this is a make or break for either fighter as to how
they handle pressure and age . In my opinion Floyd will have to fight
totally opposite of what the people want because he could not stand
in front of De la Hoya. Mayweather Jr. will have to catch De La Hoya
with pop shots and get away for Twelve Rounds to get i believe the
unanimous decision . Oscar will have to use the smaller ring to keep
Mayweather on the ropes and off balance, which WON'T be an easy
task , but it is possible make him re live Mayweather vs Castillo part
